All About Me!

My name is Lara Stuback and this is my twelfth year teaching with Los Angeles Unified School District and my second year as part of the Emerson community! I teach 6th grade honors math and science. Additionally, I am one of the speech and debate coaches. I have a twelve year old daughter that is in 7th grade at Emerson. I am a proud panther teacher and parent!

I began my higher education journey at UCSB and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. After college, I spent a few years traveling and in outside sales until I found my true calling, teaching. I now have two teaching credentials. One is from Cal Lutheran and the other is from UCLA. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT).

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, hiking, yoga, pilates, swimming, and going to the beach. My daughter is a competitive swimmer, which also keeps us pretty busy. To be able to impact students' lives and create a love of learning is the greatest gift to me.
