Team Prime Time is proud to provide free, after school programming to Emerson MS, and is excited to work with your students through the Spring Semester. We will have programs available from 3-6pm, Monday through Friday.
As 2021 is quickly approaching, we wanted to make you aware of a few fantastic opportunities so that you can register your kids!
1. Academic Support - Team Prime Time Staff and students from USC Marshall School of Business will helping students complete their homework daily and will reinforce the skills necessary to be successful in the classroom.
2. Prime Time Trials (flyer attached) - Team Prime Time will be hosting a virtual mock trial program alongside Loyola Law School. Starting February 1, Loyola Law Students and local attorneys will teach a mock trial to the students on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-4pm. Not only will this help students get a better understanding of the legal system, it will help them develop their critical thinking and public speaking skills. *must register by 1/15*
3. Prime Time Games - On Wednesday afternoons from 3-4pm, students with and without disabilities will meet virtually for a fun and engaging fitness class! Students will get active and work on their social skills.
4. Art and Interactive Games - Team Prime Time provides an environment where students can interact and socialize, hang out with their friends, and participate in fantastic activities!

Picture Day has been postponed due to the Governor Newsom's "Stay-at-Home" Order issued Monday, December 7th along with Superintendent Beutner's agreement that schools shut down completely until after winter break.
We will reschedule picture day for January when we return from winter break so please don't worry - there will be pictures this school year!

PARENT PORTAL is essential for your management of student records and your access to SCHOOLOGY, the online learning management system that that will house student assignments and grades. You will also find the parent volunteer form that must be completed so you can participate in activities and trips as a chaperone. Follow the instructional video or view the written instructions to the left. Don't forget to complete you application for the free or reduced lunch. Even if you don't qualify you must complete this form. Applicants who know they won't qualify can complete the form in minutes. Your completed application is crucial to Emerson's formula for Federal funding whether you qualify or not.

The Publicity Release form allows your student to participate in online activities and projects that are sometimes open to the public.
Partnership for Academics and Community at Emerson or PACE is the Emerson parent organization. PACE is committed to the enhancement of the Emerson experience for ALL students. To learn more and support their efforts visit their website.
If you are interested in becoming a parent member of the Emerson School Site Council and the Charter Board submit a nomination request to the principal, Dimone Watson by email, describing in one paragraph how you will support Emerson as a member. Your nomination will be circulated on the election form and made public on the website. Elections will take place during parent conference night in September.
